This week is crazy. Enjoyable, but crazy.

Monday: Ended school late on Monday, bored and half-asleep as usual (hey it's not my fault that Chinese is last block on Monday) and went to the library to find Haiwei & Wayne & Ernest trying doggedly to start work on their GP project. I managed to distract them for the following 90 minutes, during which we made fun of Haiwei, made fun of Ernest, made fun of Wayne, played Omok and wrote approximately 2 sentences related to GP.

Life is good when you have a GP teacher who doesn't give stupid projects.

After Wayne and Ernest left we went to disturb Haiwei's classmates (who have a Different sense of humor). My pencilcase got hidden. Haiwei got whacked. My pencilcase reappeared.

Tuesday: Nothing happened much in school except that Jan was presented with her birthday present. Hopefully she liked it. Even if it was horribly cliched but hey that's what chocolates are for.

A plethora of new decent people suddenly turned up for recre badminton, the standard may actually rise to something more than painfully horrible after all.

After recre badminton me, Bryan and Gwen went down to plaza sing to watch Slumdog Millionaire. I can't remember anything about the movie at all except that I seriously don't think it's worth all the superlatives that've been poured on it so far. The Seven Deadly Sins Of Moviegoers was damn funny though.

HAHAHA1

Xuewen: 中学生活和初级学院生活可说是天渊之别!

If I'm not wrong--although I may be, given that I've been sleeping/doing other-subject tutorials/playing Scrabble with Hongrui in every Chinese lesson so far--the Chinese Department is attempting to be cool and asking us to write a 300-400 word blog entry for our chinese homework.

So I had the choice of blogging here in English, or "blogging" on a piece of A4 foolscap in Chinese. Not a particularly difficult decision...

Hm okay first thing: if you haven't figured out my previous post yet, Raffles Rock didn't accept me. I was pissed and disappointed at first. I'm still disappointed, but I figure it's their loss. Especially after looking at the standard of the drummers who did get selected...

Yes, yes, I know that was damn ego. Be quiet.

For David's benefit: I have no idea how school's like in Australia, but in RJ school is damn taxing. There's no recess in JC, so we have days where we have lessons from 8am-1.30pm in a row without breaks. I reach home at what, 6-8pm every day, and that's still comparatively early when you realise that some poor bastards (read: the dramafeste people) are reaching home at 9-11pm.

I miss recess and rushing down to the canteen and cutting queue (well actually I still cut the queue, hurhur) at the mixed rice stall and talking my way out of Justin Foo trying to book me, but apart from that school life is quickly settling down to what promises to be, if not fun, than at least interesting existence. CCAs are settled, the timetable is settled, my class is settled, and the core group of BW04 is closer than ever. Joy.

I'm disappointed.

Apparently I'm not good enough.

As always, lots of things have happened since the last time I posted. For the first time, though, I stopped posting not because I was lazy (well, not solely because I was lazy) but rather because JC life is so crammed I'm actually getting home at 8pm, feeling damn tired and in no mood to post.

Anyway, the most important thing so far--

I HAVE A NEW CLASS

Almost everyone knows that I sunk into a temporary state of depression last Monday after walking in and seeing 13 scholars and Jimmy From Basketball and one Ivan Loh, so I won't waste time complaining about 10S06S. They're a nice class, really; scholars are nice people, except that I was in 3A/4A already. Change of scenery plz.

So I'm in 10S06M now, with people like Ng Jing Xian (his turn to fall into a state of depression, after learning that he's gonna be stuck with me for 2 years), hongrui, dennis, Brent The 3.91 Boy and so on. I think it's going to be a fun class. Or at least better than 06S.

I was right. Orientation was interesting.

So a LOT of stuff have happened within the past week; it's ridiculous, really, and if I write about everything that's happened I'll never finish. But on the other hand there are things which you can't completely ignore and not write about.

So, orientation; most people on my MSN contact list know that I didn't really like BW04 on the first day of orientation. I was mostly wrong. Despite not knowing how to have fun/eat at PROPER places (hint: why do we BW04 people always eat at s11/foodcourts & play at playgrounds while others ogs eat at restaurants and watch movies?) our og is still damn fun to be with. Especially when we're busy creating scandals--and here I can seriously go on and on--between certain People.

BW04 does have its fair share of unenthu people/stoners, but everyone else is cool.

Anyway, it's hard not to like BW04 after I saw 10S06S. My class. Consisting of scholars (not that I have anything against scholars; I just have something against the fact that 13/20 of my class hail from China), the incorrigible Ivan Loh and one Jimmy From Basketball. Let's just say I don't hold a particularly strong affection for my class. In fact, I don't hold a particularly strong affection for my class so much that I dropped Maths RA just to switch classes.

Yeah, I'm no longer a Maths RA student. Not like I was ever the best maths student around, anyway. I'll be getting my new class later, and while I know that it isn't necessarily going to be a class I love, I know FOR SURE that it's going to be better than 10S06S.

Oh yeah, someone has to wave to Paul in a Friendly Manner tomorrow; we'll see how that goes.

If all goes according to plan, I'll be out of Maths RA and hopefully in a better class by tomorrow.

Hm summary:

1) Orientation is fun.
2) My group's okayish I guess.
3) I didn't get into frisbee.
4) If I don't make RR I will have no CCA and will spend my days emoing in one sad corner.
5) Soccer tmr.

Just so you know...

Some Singaporeans have a belief that people from RI are lifeless muggers who spend Fridays (and most of the other days of the week, actually) studying.

People from RI have a belief that aforementioned Singaporeans are idiots.
