I've just finished PW survey questions, at the behest of a...persistent...group leader, and it's 2am and I want nothing more than to sleep. But I'm here to type out a blogpost first, and it's going to be a long one. This blog has been dead for too long & I'm touched that people still visit it occasionally to check for new posts. Of course, most of these people only do so because they have nothing better to do (damn you, non chinese-taking people) and because they are obstinate but hey, if you decide to spend your obstinancy on my blog, why not? I'll take what I can get.

My drumset just got imba zhng-ed today. I got an entire sackful--well, plastic bagful, anyway--of stuff from Joshua. Like my new Vic Firth sticks (note to everyone who failed that question on Facebook: how the hell could you have picked Zildjian; I spent damn long complaining that my Zildjian sticks broke, didn't I?), a working metronome and a splash cymbal.

Well, admittedly, the splash cymbal anticlimatically sounds horrible, partially because my crash is muffled and the splash isn't, which means that the splash is actually louder and more resonant than my crash cymbal. In case you're wondering, no, that is not supposed to happen.

That's the equivalent of finding out that a pub can speak better English than you. It's not supposed to happen, and when it does it makes you feel pathetic, weird, and vaguely stupid.

The most epic thing today happened when xw and bryan crashed my house. XW, being xw, managed to get stuck in the toilet. Yes. You read that right.

He walks into the toilet.
He locks the door.
He turns to knob to unlock the door.
The knob turns.
The lock doesn't unlock.
He panics.

To cut a long story short, XW emerges one hour later admist the rubble of a dismantled doorknob. These kind of things only happen to him.

Just so you know...

Some Singaporeans have a belief that people from RI are lifeless muggers who spend Fridays (and most of the other days of the week, actually) studying.

People from RI have a belief that aforementioned Singaporeans are idiots.
